F.A.Q.

What is Super 8 and 16mm film?

In my add-on options, I have a video called the Doc Edit. This is a longer video that covers the day from start to finish, but it is edited nicely. It includes your full ceremony, full toasts, dances, etc, with the audio as it happened. I have examples for you to view in my pricing guide.

What does your base package include?

Super 8 film is a vintage motion picture format known for its nostalgic, grainy look. It captures weddings with a warm, romantic aesthetic, creating a timeless and authentic feel due to its unique texture.

A step up from Super 8 is 16mm film. It offers a higher resolution and sharper details. Both formats are beautiful in their own way.

Unlike digital video, film captures light in a unique way, often resulting in a softer focus and more natural-looking footage.

Shooting with real film produces rich colors and slight imperfections that give the footage a timeless, sentimental quality. It's perfect for creating a romantic, dreamy atmosphere.

Do you travel and what are the associated costs?

My beginning package includes eight hours of coverage, the wedding film, your ceremony as a separate video, and Super 8 film.

What are your wedding videography rates?

Please contact me with details about your big day and I'll be happy to send you my pricing guide if I'm available.

I also have smaller packages for elopements. If you feel like I may be out your budget, please reach out and tell me your story. Even if I can't work with your budget, I may be able to refer others.

I travel outside of Missouri for most of my weddings. I've been all over the U.S. as well as outside the states to places like Mexico, Canada, Italy, and Kenya. I love going to a new place. It is always incredibly inspiring and creatively refreshing.

As far as travel rates, the cost of the flight is usually contained in my base package. The cost of accommodations/car rental will be billed separately. I strive to keep these costs minimal and reasonable.

Who chooses the music?

Music plays a huge part in the creative process. So my first answer is to trust me! The more creative control you lend me, the better the end result will be. My second answer is to let it be a collaboration. Let's trade playlists. I love when couples send me a playlist of their favorite songs to help me get a feel for their musical tastes. I then can send you a playlist with songs that I feel may work with your film and you can let me know if any stand out. I do ask that you have an open mind. Don't go into it thinking you must have a certain song. I personally find it wonderful to connect a new song to a new memory/feeling instead of something you already know.

Where are you based?

The Midwest! Specifically outside of Springfield, Missouri.

Do you offer a longer video in addition to the wedding film?

Let's keep the conversation going. Head to my contact page and send a message.
